1- Ukraine accuses Russians of "deliberate massacre" in Boutcha, strikes on Odessa

Ukraine has accused the Russian army of committing a "deliberate massacre" in Boutcha, after the discovery of numerous corpses in this city northwest of kyiv which sparked outrage from European, German and British officials, the very day the UN attempts a mission in Moscow.

As signs of abuse emerge in areas from which the Russians have withdrawn, several strikes have reached the strategic city of Odessa, Ukraine's main port, located on the Black Sea.

According to Ukraine, the localities of Irpin, Boucha, Gostomel and the entire kyiv region "have been liberated from the invader" who are abandoning key towns near the capital as well as Cherniguiv, in the north of the country, to redeploy towards the East and the South and "keep control" of the territories they occupy there.

In Boutcha, an AFP journalist saw the bodies of around twenty men lying in a street on Saturday.

These people were "all killed with a bullet to the back of the head", according to Anatoly Fedorouk, the mayor of this city taken back from the Russians, where nearly 300 corpses were buried in mass graves.

The President of the European Council, Charles Michel, said he was "shocked", London said he was "horrified" and called for a "war crimes investigation", while Berlin denounced a "terrible war crime" and wanted economic sanctions to be adopted by EU countries against Russia.

2- Final sprint in the presidential election: after Macron, Mélenchon and Pécresse in a meeting this Sunday

Final sprint in the presidential election one week before the first round.

After Emmanuel Macron, the rebellious leader Jean-Luc Mélenchon, given in third position in the polls, is gathering his troops in Toulouse and the right-wing candidate Valérie Pécresse hers in Paris.

Meetings also for Anne Hidalgo and Nathalie Arthaud (LO) in Paris.

Trip to Nanterre for Yannick Jadot, and participation in a demonstration against the extreme right in Paris for Philippe Poutou (NPA) after his meeting on Saturday.

This is the home stretch in this extraordinary campaign hit hard by the Covid-19 crisis and the war in Ukraine.

With a major challenge for the 12 contenders for the Élysée: to mobilize their supporters, to seek out the undecided and those tempted by a potentially high abstention.

During a giant meeting on Saturday with more social overtones, Emmanuel Macron called for "general mobilization" against "extremism" and "great stunting".

3- “Christmas on the balcony, Easter on the embers”: early April, agricultural France in combat mode against the cold

"We had Christmas on the balcony, we are going to have Easter on the embers": wine and agricultural France went into combat mode on Sunday in the face of the spring frost which threatens the buds and therefore the future harvests, after a difficult first night, especially in the southwest.

“The Garonne valley was particularly affected overnight from Saturday to Sunday and we recorded many falling temperature records”, according to Tristan Amm, forecaster at Météo-France.

On average, in France, the temperatures on Sunday were 6 degrees below the average for the season, according to Météo-France.

4- Oscars 2022: Will Will Smith's slap risk putting a blow to the star's career?

This is the question everyone is asking.

After the 2022 Oscars ceremony marked by the slap of Will Smith to Chris Rock, the consequences on the image of the interpreter of Men in black are already being felt.

Under the influence of disciplinary proceedings after the attack on the comedian in the middle of the Oscars ceremony, Will Smith took the lead and announced Friday his resignation from the organization which awards the prestigious trophies.

"It's a clear indication that we [in Hollywood] are no longer the club of cool people", reacted Tuesday Jim Carrey on CBS Morning, who said he was sickened to see the standing ovation of the public at a time when Will Smith received the Best Actor Oscar for his role in The Williams Method.

And that the actor could have to face criticism from his environment very soon.

5- Paris Marathon: They did it, even those who had no chance

No one believed in it and that motivated him.

Around a coffee in his neighborhood in the 10th arrondissement of Paris, Baptiste, a law student, humorously talks about his decision in the midst of a "hangover" to participate in the 2022 Paris marathon. "I didn't believe it when he broke the news to us,” recalls Thomas, his best friend.

Indeed, sport has never been one of his priorities, his entourage therefore had difficulty believing it.

Parties, music, law school and travel came to the fore, Baptiste admits.

"I like to enjoy, it makes me laugh when people say I'm a party animal.

If Baptiste ran, the winners of the 2022 edition are the Ethiopian Deso Gelmisa won the 45th edition of the Paris marathon this Sunday, ahead of his compatriot Seifu Tura, 2nd at three seconds, and the Frenchman Morhad Amdouni, 3rd by establishing a new French record.
