40,000 years in prison for a Turkish man who stole two billion dollars

A Turkish court has sentenced the young Turkish man, Faruk Fatih Ozer, to 40,562 years in prison for fraud.

According to what Turkish media published, the court issued its verdict against the young man on Thursday, and the indictment consisted of 268 pages, signed by 21 people, and 2,027 people as complainants.

And during the month of April 2021, the Turkish authorities issued an international arrest warrant against the founder of a digital currency exchange platform who fled with two billion dollars of investor money.

The police arrested 62 people during raids suspected of having ties to the company

The platform "Thodex" suspended its trading operations after it published a vague message, stating that it needs five days to deal with an unspecified foreign investment.

Media reports stated that the platform was closed while it was still holding $2 billion from 391,000 investors.
