An online meeting was held with Ukrainian university faculty members, and the faculty members wept and accepted, saying that the military invasion of Russia put local students in a difficult situation where they had to give up studying. I appealed for cooperation.

The meeting was held online by a private support group and the Japan International Christian Foundation, which are working to accept Ukrainian students into Japanese universities and Japanese language schools.

Among them, Irina Sheperska, a faculty member of the Japanese Department of the National University of Linguistics, who is evacuating to Germany, said, "There are many students in Ukraine who want to study in Japan as soon as possible. Some people are asking for help with their families, saying they can't leave. I hope they will somehow give the students a chance to continue studying, "he said in tears and appealed for cooperation in acceptance.

"Students are taking classes online, but they have to evacuate to the shelter immediately when the siren sounds. The internet connection is poor," said Igor Zolly, director of the Ukraine-Japan Center at Lviv National Institute of Technology. I have to give up studying, "he explained, saying that the students are in a difficult situation.

According to the organization "Pathways Japan" that hosted the press conference, the recruitment for acceptance in Japan, which started on March 22, has received applications from 281 students so far, so the host university, etc. I would like to further expand.
