Bread lovers of all kinds: caution.
Several batches of bread sold since early February have been recalled since Thursday at Intermarché, Leclerc and Netto, reports

These breads contain an excess of ergot alkaloids.
This toxin, derived from a parasitic fungus of rye and other cereals, is present in a quantity greater than the maximum values set by European regulations.
Ingested, it can cause harmful effects on the health of consumers.

Concerned rye breads
At Intermarché and Netto, several breads are concerned: the 250 g country baguette sold between March 2 and 30, the 350 g country bread sold between February 21 and March 30 and the walnut country bread sold between February 16 and March 30, details the Rappel site.

The recall procedure runs until April 13.
Two batches of Germanik breads and rye breads sold at Leclerc between March 29 and 30 are also targeted.
A bastard rye bread sold between February 15 and March 26 in several U stores in the country is also recalled.
The list of municipalities concerned is available on the government site for reminders.
The customers of the various stores who have purchased these breads are invited not to consume them to preserve their health.
They can destroy the product or return it to the store before the end date of the recall to be reimbursed.
