The Netflix film and series streaming platform announces that it has entered into a partnership with the Amaury Sport Organization (ASO).

This collaboration should allow Netflix to produce a documentary series on a legendary French sporting event, followed around the world: the Tour de France.

Netflix and the Amaury Sport Organization (ASO) have announced that they are joining forces to produce a documentary series on the Tour de France.

France Télévisions will also participate in this partnership which will concern the 2022 edition of this French sporting event followed worldwide.

The episodes will follow all the actors of the Tour, that is to say cyclists, but also several team managers.

The series will be available in eight 45-minute episodes.

Everyone will take a behind-the-scenes tour of eight iconic teams, from preparation to the finish line at the end of July.

Release scheduled for early 2023

Filming has already begun, with the aim of showing the challenges of this race, which has become an international symbol and is today the most difficult cycling event in the world.

Netflix has entrusted the production of this series to Quadbox, the company which had already produced for the platform the successful series

Drive to survive 

on Formula 1. 

The broadcast of this new series on the Tour de France is scheduled for the beginning of next year.

France Télévisions is also planning a 52-minute format which should be broadcast before the start of the Tour de France 2023.
