In France, it is estimated that 160,000 children are victims of sexual violence each year.

Incest, a widespread phenomenon, affects all walks of life.

For a long time, the victims were silent: for fear of not being believed, so as not to destroy their family, because they were under the influence of their executioner.

But for a year, victims of incest have had a space to express themselves.

It was created by the CIIVISE, the Independent Commission on Incest and Sexual Violence against Children, following the shock caused by the publication of Camille Kouchner's book and the series of revelations that followed.

Today, the CIIVISE published its interim conclusions.

It recommends a certain number of measures to better support the victims, accompany them, but also to prevent these tragedies.

Decryption looks tonight at the fate of children abused, bruised, and too often walled in silence.
