The worrying trend continues.

The number of patients hospitalized with Covid-19 infection continued to rise on Thursday, according to daily figures released by authorities.

Hospitals had 21,922 patients on Thursday, against 21,688 the day before and 20,654 a week earlier.

Among them, there are 1,763 new admissions, against 1,338 last Thursday.

The number of critical care patients is 1,551 (including 160 admissions), compared to 1,546 the day before and 1,523 a week before.

121 deaths in 24 hours

Public Health France reports 169,311 cases of Covid-19 identified in 24 hours, around the same level as the day before (169,024).

The rolling seven-day average, which gives an idea of ​​the real evolution of the epidemic, stood at 139,790 against 136,837 on Wednesday and 110,874 last Thursday.

In the past 24 hours, 121 deaths have been recorded at the hospital.

A total of 142,273 people have died from Covid in France since the start of the epidemic more than two years ago.

Regarding vaccination, more than 54.26 million people have received at least one injection (80.5% of the total population), 53.35 have a complete vaccination schedule (79.1%).
