A Valenciennes woman who hides behind the Tigress of “Mask Singer”

Friday, TF1 will broadcast the first episode of season 3 of its show “Mask singer”.

Among the costumes that the 12 mystery stars will wear, whose identity the jury will have to discover, there is one that stands out, that of a tigress.

Without spoiling the surprise,

reveals the name of the woman behind this particularly realistic feline head.

Her name is Eléna Egorine, she is 29 years old and she lives in Valenciennes, in the North.

His name will probably mean nothing to ordinary mortals, nor his face for that matter.

However, it is she who hides not in, but behind the extraordinary head of a tigress that fans of the show

will be able to discover from Friday.

Eléna is not the star to be discovered by the jury, she is the artist who created the beast.

“Actually, there were two of us on this project.

I took care of the head and hands of the tigress and a costume designer from Toulouse did the rest,” explains Eléna modestly.

However, the young woman, who calls herself a "self-taught costume designer", should have found herself in a white coat in a lab.

Not really knowing what to do with her life, she had indeed embarked on a scientific course oriented chemistry.

His talent comes from elsewhere.

“I played a lot of video games, especially one where the characters were catmen,” she recalls.

Because she likes this universe and because she “has always liked to make things”, Eléna has made a place for herself in the cosplay mode.

“I started making animal costumes and posting pictures on social media.

Quickly, I received requests from people who wanted me to make costumes for them,” she continues.

One thing leading to another, the young woman dropped chemistry to devote herself entirely to this activity, which has become a profession in its own right.

His talent earned him work on a clip of the famous American rapper, Kanye West, for an artists' studio in New York and, therefore, for

Despite everything, Eléna suffers in a way from the syndrome of the impostor: “Perhaps because I did not study there, she slips.

It's always a challenge that I take up by telling myself I'm not sure of myself but I'm going to start”.

Enthusiastic about the idea of ​​working on

, Eléna knew how to overcome the pressure.

"We started manufacturing the costume in December 2020 for delivery in March 2021. We also had to respect certain constraints, in particular that the costume hold up throughout the shoot and that the person be comfortable in it and be able to breathe normally", assures she.

A person she knew, who is "very sympathetic" but whose name she will not reveal, even under torture.

A facility to keep a secret, added to his talent which could lead him to put it back for TF1.

“This experience has brought me a lot and I would really like to work on the next season.

Why not in the cinema too”, recognizes Eléna.
