Rejected of the right of asylum and confronted with an obligation to leave French territory (OQTF), a couple and their five children are homeless this Wednesday.

This Congolese family supported by activists from the Borderless Education Network (RESF) went the same day to the Buttes school in Grenoble (Isère), says

Le Dauphiné Libéré

.

Asylum applications refused

With their belongings and in the company of parents and people who came to support them, they returned to the school.

The family had left Congo in 2019 for security reasons.

According to the father, a former financial director in the hotel industry, their requests for asylum in France were rejected.

In 2021, they had left the Vosges, where they were, to join Grenoble.

They had obtained a right to enforceable accommodation there last November but had since been living with private individuals.

On Wednesday evening, the City of Grenoble hosted the seven people in an aparthotel.

The prefecture should take over this Thursday by opening the doors of a shelter to him.
