God is a thief who walks in the night
by Quentin Bruet-Ferréol, published on January 6, 2022 by Éditions Bouquins.
His favorite quote:
How ironic! How many primitive humans had believed to find God whereas it was only about an idle extraterrestrial?
Why this book?
Because this story is chilling:
we discover thirty-nine bodies, collective suicide, in a house.
We expect an investigation and the author offers us a genesis.
He goes back in time to tell us how this sect came to this end.
Because little by little, the gurus
will depersonalize the followers by making them change partners, names, habits of thinking and eating until they are only one identity.
The deception revealed, the followers will remain faithful to the masters who let themselves be trapped in their lies or their fantasy.
Because this story is true:
it tells the story of Heaven's Gate, a sect that believes in UFOs, the creation of two fantastic beings who will make people believe they are extraterrestrials.
The essentials in 2 minutes

In 1997 thirty-nine bodies were found in a house, all of them members of a cult that was waiting to leave Earth aboard a spaceship.

Barthelemy, both: Do and Ti, followers: Harmony, Kurt, James, Donnie, etc.
Places.
Several states of the United States
The time.
From November 1975 to March 1997.
The author.
Quentin Bruet-Ferréol works in the world of press and communication.
Amateur of esotericism, he publishes with this book the “biography” of a sect which really existed.
This book was read with
horror: the author dissects how one can dehumanize a person to enslave him but also how two people get tired of being trapped in their madness.
A mixture of esotericism, the Bible, various beliefs, the manipulation of spirits can sometimes take singular forms.
