"Nippon Antenna," which manufactures and sells antennas and communication equipment, has been hit by a cyber attack that seems to be a ransomware computer virus that requires a ransom, causing a large-scale system failure. I understand.

“It will take several weeks to fully recover”

According to "Nippon Antenna" in Arakawa-ku, Tokyo, which manufactures and sells antennas and communication equipment, a large-scale system failure occurred on the morning of the 28th, such as the in-house computer becoming unusable. It turned out that the data on the server of the department was encrypted and could not be seen.

According to the company, there are also messages requesting money from the criminal side, so it seems to be a cyber attack by ransomware, a computer virus that demands ransom.

The company is taking measures such as shutting down all systems in the company and migrating to a replacement server, but it is expected that full recovery will take several weeks.

At the manufacturing site, manual measures are taken, and so far, there is no direct impact on the manufacturing and shipping of products.

Nippon Antenna says, "We deeply apologize for causing a great deal of concern and inconvenience to everyone involved."
