Yamaguchi Prefecture and Shimonoseki City announced on the 29th that 302 new people have been confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus.
This brings the total number of confirmed infections in Yamaguchi Prefecture to 28,669.
Shimonoseki City also announced that a man in his 80s has died.
The number of people who died after being infected with the new coronavirus in the prefecture was 163.
