According to the website of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervision Commission, Xie Xiaodan, former member of the Standing Committee of the Guangzhou Municipal Party Committee and former secretary of the Political and Legal Committee, is suspected of serious violations of discipline and law, and is currently undergoing disciplinary review and supervision investigation by the Guangdong Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision.

　　Resume of Xie Xiaodan

　　Xie Xiaodan, male, Han nationality, born in December 1963, from Chaozhou, Guangdong, with an on-the-job postgraduate degree, started working in August 1981, and joined the Communist Party of China in December 1987.

　　He has served successively as Director of Guangzhou Land, Resources and Housing Administration, Director of Guangzhou Housing Security Office, Secretary General of Guangzhou Municipal Government, Deputy Mayor of Guangzhou, Director of Municipal Public Security Bureau, Member of the Standing Committee of the Guangzhou Municipal Party Committee, Secretary of the Political and Legal Committee of Guangzhou, and member of the Party Group of Guangzhou CPPCC.
