The Michelin Group announced that Dubai has joined the “Michelin Guide” for restaurants, as the first city in the Middle East, after its success in strengthening its position as one of the most diverse travel and business destinations in the world.

The choice of Dubai came thanks to its dynamism after the city has developed a very interesting food culture inspired by all parts of the world including the Arabic cuisine offered by the emirate due to its diverse demographics.

This came during a press conference held today at the "Museum of the Future" in Dubai, in the presence of Issam Kazim, CEO of the Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing, and Gwendal Polnik, Global Director of the Michelin Guide, and a number of officials and stakeholders.

Gwendal Polnik said: "We are pleased to announce that Dubai has joined the Michelin Guide family, and our teams will reveal the restaurants they have chosen later this year. We will showcase the best culinary arts in Dubai to highlight the luxury and luxury that it is famous for, as well as The diversity of cuisines available as a result of the city’s location and history.”

Dubai is the latest addition to the "Michelin Guide", which currently covers 36 culinary destinations across North America, South America, Asia Pacific and Europe.
