A Jordanian citizen opened fire inside a mosque in the city of Zarqa at dawn today, killing a worshiper.
The media spokesman for the Public Security Directorate in Jordan said that at dawn today, Tuesday, the Zarqa Police Directorate received a report that a person entered a mosque and fired at another person, which led to his death.
He added that when the first police patrol arrived, the relatives of the victim had gathered and grabbed the offender, beat him and took him with them inside one of the houses.
He confirmed that seven people were arrested inside the house when it was raided, and an automatic firearm was also seized from their possession, and investigations are still ongoing.
