The commune of Yonval (Somme) has just inaugurated its conservatory orchard.
She has been working on this project since 2016 with plants planted in early 2017 on a plot of 1,800 m2.

Mayor Christian Lesenne explained that he had chosen an orchard “in order to introduce the different local varieties to the population”.
Residents can come and help themselves to local products.
The city worked with the Association for the promotion of the Environment in the Vimeu (APEV) and the Crété nurseries.
Students at work
Three students from the Baie de Somme agricultural high school in the 2nd year of BTS Development, animation of rural territories (DATR) worked on the study of the project and the development of this natural heritage.
The inauguration of the orchard was an opportunity to present a grain library allowing you to deposit and take seeds of plants, flowers, fruits or vegetables to grow at home.
