Chungmuro's representative music director Bang Jun-seok has died of stomach cancer.

He died at the age of 52.



According to the film industry on the 26th, music director Bang Jun-seok died of illness around 7 am on the same day.

The deceased was diagnosed with stomach cancer a few years ago and was completely cured after treatment.

However, he is said to have been battling cancer again in the fall of 2020.



Music director Bang Jun-seok made his debut as a composer and singer in 1994 by forming the blues rock band 'You & Me Blue', which is known as a legend in the popular music world.



He started working on film music in 1997 by participating in Hwang In-roe's 'Man with Flowers' theme song.

Since then, films such as 'Joint Security Area JSA' and 'Oh!

Brothers', 'Go Go 70', 'You Are My Destiny', 'Radio Star', 'Apostle', 'Battleship Island', 'Along with God-Crime and Punishment', 'Byeonsan', 'Along with God- Causality Kite', ' He has worked on music for dozens of films, including 'Mount Baekdu'.

Judging from the opening order, the last film is 'Mogadishu', which was released last summer.

For this work, he also won the 30th Buil Film Awards and the 41st Youngpyeong Awards Music Awards.



Upon hearing the news of the death of director Bang Jun-seok, musicians such as Bae Chul-soo, Yoon Jong-sik, Cha Seung-woo, and Han Kyung-rok sent condolence messages through SNS.



The burial place of the deceased was prepared at Samsung Seoul Hospital in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and his funeral will be on the afternoon of the 28th.

His burial is at the Kensico Family Park Cemetery, New York, USA.
