• The seventh and last episode of the blind auditions for season 11 of

    The Voice

will be broadcast on Saturday March 26, 2022, at 9:10 p.m. on TF1.

  • Even before the broadcast of this episode, three coaches have already reached the limit of fourteen talents recruited into each team.

  • “It's the first time that we have had to attack the last day of filming with only two places to distribute.

As an artistic producer, I'm not going to tell them: "You turn around twice and that's it."

We told them: “Go ahead and we will find solutions”, explains Pascal Guix to

Amel Bent, Florent Pagny and Vianney already have their entire team in

The Voice

, fourteen talents in each

team

.

The problem: there is still an episode of the blind auditions for season 11 to be broadcast, this Saturday evening on TF1.

Should we expect that only Marc Lavoine turns around to recruit the two candidates he lacks and that the rest of the show is a festival of rejected singers and singers?

That the faithful of the telecrochet are reassured, this will not be the case.

"Obviously, I can't stop there," warns Amel Bent at the start of the episode.

"Even if I have twenty talents in my team, I will turn around until the end," added Vianney.

“We were victims of casting”

“I have no problem saying that we have been overwhelmed this season, advances to

Pascal Guix, the artistic producer of

The Voice

.

We fell victim to the cast, which is generally better than in past seasons.

The coaches were struggling not to turn around and have to try to justify why.

Florent Pagny always said to himself "If it sings well, I'm going".

»

If it is not uncommon for a coach to reach the next stage, that of

battles

, with additional talent in his team, this year, the surplus reached unprecedented proportions.

“It's the first time that we have had to attack the last day of filming with only two places to distribute.

As a producer, I'm not going to tell them, "You turn around twice and that's it."

We told them: “Go ahead and we will find solutions”, continues Pascal Guix.

In this case, this will be resolved by three-way battles.

"It's not easy for us in production because it means more people, there are a lot of things that come into play, but I prefer to have happy coaches and talents whose performances are welcomed, than the reverse.

It would be absurd to tell them not to turn around, ”says the producer.

“There is room for everyone”

Concretely, the blind auditions were recorded over five days, at the end of December.

They were transformed into seven episodes.

The one that will be broadcast on TF1 on Saturday will largely respect the chronology of the last day of filming for which twenty talents were called.

Allowing coaches to select more than fourteen candidates is a matter of fairness.

"I do a distribution of talents between the first and the last day and I don't say to myself: 'If it doesn't turn over on the last day, it doesn't matter'.

In truth, I need coaches to be able to be constantly stimulated, exhilarated by talents and voices who come to try their luck.

Whether it's the first or the last day, there's room for everyone.

And therefore more than fourteen places.
