A study reveals the amazing benefit of drinking coffee!

A recent Australian study revealed that drinking coffee may protect against and exacerbate heart disease, and drinking two to three cups of coffee per day was associated with a 10-15% lower risk of heart disease, heart failure, arrhythmia, or premature death from any cause.

CNN quoted Dr. Peter Kistler, senior author of the study and head of clinical electrophysiology research at the Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute, and chief of the electrophysiology department at Alfred Hospital in Melbourne, Australia, as saying that coffee can speed up the heart rate. Some people worry that drinking it may cause or worsen certain heart problems.

This is where the general medical advice to stop drinking coffee may come from.

The researchers found that study participants who consumed two to three cups of coffee a day were less likely to develop heart problems later on, and people who drank one cup of coffee a day were less likely to have a stroke or die from cardiovascular disease.

Another study looked at the relationships between different types of coffee, and Kistler told CNN: "Physicians generally have some apprehension that people with known cardiovascular disease, or arrhythmias, continue to drink coffee, so they often exercise caution and advise them to stop drinking coffee. They took it entirely because they feared it might cause a dangerous heartbeat, but our study shows that regular coffee consumption is safe and can be part of a healthy diet.”

It is noteworthy that people with chronic diseases should refer to their doctor before introducing any drink or food into their diet because each case is different from the other.
