The death of the Egyptian artist Ahmed Halawa, as a result of the complications of Corona

The Syndicate of Acting Professions in Egypt said today, Friday, that the artist Ahmed Halawa died at the age of 73, due to complications from infection with the Corona virus.

Halawa was taken to hospital last month for treatment of the virus, but his health has deteriorated in the last two days.

Halawa was born in January 1949 and loved acting since his childhood, so school theater was his first stepping stone to the world of art.

He studied engineering, but insisted on learning the arts academically, so he obtained a BA from the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts and a doctorate in Philosophy of Arts from Romania.

In addition to acting, he excelled in theatrical direction, design and animation of puppets and sculpture, and he founded the Halawa Academy of Sciences and Arts, which specializes in applied arts such as glass painting, decoupage, embroidery and mosaic.

Among his plays are (Bank Talk), (The Bridge of the Law), (Isis), (Caligula), (Shaqlabaz), (Destour Ya Our Masters) and (Tara’io).

He participated in the films (The Torment is a Woman), (The Devils of the City), (The Strongest Men), (The Children Flee), (Dawlat Security), (Reaction), (The Fourth Pyramid), (Fish and Snark), (Pecia) and (The Most Dangerous Man). ) and (my soulmate).

He presented the series (Tears in Rude Eyes), (Raafat Al-Hagan), (The Fox), (Ayam Al-Munawara), (Harun Al-Rashid), (The Thief and the Book), (The People of Cairo), (Nelly and Sherihan), (The Will) and (The Zizou Family). ), (The Godfather), (Counter Attack) and (Choice 2).

And he was present in all of Adel Imam's recent series (The Naji Atallah Band), (Al-Arraf), (Saheb Al-Saada), (Professor and Head of Department) and (Afairt Adly Allam).

In parallel with his artistic career, he took the academic teaching path, where he worked as a professor in the Acting Department at the Academy of Arts, and taught theater in the faculties of Specific Education.
