Cock-a-doodle Doo !

The 4th edition of Séries Mania in Lille testifies both to the vigor of French seriphilia and to the rise of French fiction.

Nearly 70,000 festival-goers and some 3,300 professionals attended the event.

“The bet was not won.

We could never have done that anywhere else.

All the professionals tell us that they find the city magnificent and salute the intelligence, sensitivity and warmth of the public,” says the general director of the festival, Laurence Herzberg.

Review of eight intense days of screenings and meetings around more than 50 new series and the winners of Series Mania, placed under the sign of youth, unveiled this Friday during the closing ceremony.

For this 4th edition, Séries Mania had decided to entrust the presidency of the jury of its international competition to the Ukrainian producer, Julia Sinkevych, welcomed during the opening ceremony by a standing ovation.

“I had two emotional sequences, Julia Sinkevych on stage, it was very beautiful and the awarding of grants to Afghan artists.

Series Mania is this connection between what we do, people of culture, the party, the look on the world that the series carry and at the same time, we don't forget that other people are suffering, other artists are suffering and we have succeeded in integrating them into this week of communion around the series”, explains Laurence Herzberg.

And to add: “I used to say “the series look at the world” and there, the world entered Series Mania”
