In order to popularize renewable energy such as solar power, the burden added to electricity charges for households will increase further in the new fiscal year.

Continuing from this year, it will exceed 10,000 yen a year for a standard household.

In order to popularize solar power and wind power, renewable energy power is a national system, and it is obligatory for major electric power companies to purchase it at a fixed price, and most of the cost is added to the electricity price and the user bears it. It is a mechanism to do.

On the 25th, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry announced the additional amount for the new fiscal year and 2022.

According to this, the annual burden will increase by 288 yen to 17,64 yen per year for households with standard electricity usage.

This is the second consecutive year that the annual burden has exceeded 10,000 yen.

The new burden will be reflected from the electricity charges for April, which will be read in May.

The problem with this system is that the more renewable energy becomes more widespread, the greater the burden on users, and the government has decided to start a new system, the FIP system, from next month.

We aim to reduce the burden on users by incorporating elements linked to market prices for large-scale power generation companies.
