Grand Reportage today takes us to Cyprus.

To the east of the Mediterranean, this small European island, nestled off Turkey to the north, Syria to the east, Egypt to the south, has lived for several years to the rhythm of the waves of exiles.

Several tens of thousands of people from Africa and the East, who dreamed of joining Europe, find themselves stuck on this island cut in two: In the North, a self-proclaimed state under Turkish influence;

in the south, Greek Cypriots, members of the European Community.

This Republic, the smallest State of the Union, says today that it is overwhelmed by the migratory situation.

RFI went to meet these migrants from all over the world, and the people who come to their aid.

"Cyprus: the broken European dream of exiles", a great report by Noé Pignède.
