Okinawa Prefecture announced on the 23rd that it was confirmed that 913 new people were infected with the new coronavirus.
There are 86 more people than last Wednesday.
The total number of infected people confirmed in the prefecture was 115,320.
Okinawa Prefecture also revealed that a man in his 70s who had been infected with the new coronavirus died on the 5th of this month.
Only 438 people died in the prefecture.
