On March 22, with the roar of two excavators at an altitude of 157 meters, the second-phase high-rise building of Qilu Hotel at the foot of Qianfo Mountain in Jinan, Shandong was demolished. The landmark building of the 1990s is about to bid farewell to the city.
According to public information, Qilu Hotel officially opened in the 1980s. The 11th floor of the main building was not only the first foreign-related four-star hotel in Jinan, but also one of the tallest buildings in Jinan at that time.
In 1992, the construction of the second phase of Qilu Hotel (Qilu Hotel) was started, and the scenery was infinite for a while.
In 1996, the Qilu Hotel, which was at the end of its construction, was forced to suspend construction due to the interruption of the capital chain.
In the past, standing on the north side of Jingshi Road at the foot of Qianfo Mountain, at a glance, two buildings stood up, blocking the mountain view.
After the demolition and reconstruction of Qilu Hotel, citizens can see the landscape effect of "mountain scenery entering the city" on Jingshi Road.
According to the plan, the Qilu Hotel site will be used to build the Qianfoshan North Square.
In the future, after the Qilu Hotel is completely demolished, the North Square of Qianfoshan will take a new look to allow the public to enjoy the "mountain and city as one, and the lake reflects Foshan".
