[Explanation] Recently, the reporter learned from the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs that in 2021, Zhejiang will achieve an output value of 5.99 billion yuan for Longjing tea, an increase of 8.1% over the previous year.

The reporter then visited Wengjiashan, the core production area of Hangzhou West Lake Longjing tea, which is the highest production area in Hangzhou.

Growing tea, picking tea and frying tea have been going on here for hundreds of years, and now the digital wings are inserted here, and Longjing tea is undergoing a quiet change.

[Concurrent] Sun Bin, Secretary of the Party Branch of Wengjiashan Village, Hangzhou

First of all, we trace our origin and tea farmers through this anti-counterfeiting logo, tea farmers standard or enterprise standard; second, our entire tea garden has basically covered digital equipment, so we can better standardize management of our tea garden through meteorological monitoring. ; Third, we also use live broadcast to let our users see that we are picking this tea from the field, frying, packaging, and sending it to our users through online traceability.

[Explanation] It is reported that Hangzhou attaches great importance to the inheritance and protection of the traditional techniques of West Lake Longjing tea, strengthens the cultivation of young technicians in hand-frying, and conducts tea-frying competitions to promote the inheritance of hand-frying skills.

The city has cultivated a total of 1,220 skilled tea workers, including 177 senior tea workers, 332 tea technicians, and 711 tea workers.

Sun Bin said that at present, the atmosphere of their village is relatively young, which is due to the country's implementation of the rural revitalization strategy. The return of talents is the first element of the village's development.

[Concurrent] Sun Bin, Secretary of the Party Branch of Wengjiashan Village, Hangzhou

In terms of the atmosphere where young people from the whole village come to make tea, we trained more than 100 young tea masters last year, and our village accounted for more than 20. The front line is doing tea production.

So from learning to fry tea, learning tea art and then learning to review, many, many young people are coming back now.

First of all, I think they really have a feeling for their hometown, and then with the country's emphasis on rural revitalization and the return of talents, our entire village will develop better.

[Explanation] Sun Bin introduced that since Wengjiashan Village is the main producing area of Longjing tea, its primary production is significantly stronger than secondary and tertiary production. At present, their young village team is working hard to make the village a parent-child tourism destination for tea. Realize the transformation and upgrading of the three industries.

[Concurrent] Sun Bin, Secretary of the Party Branch of Wengjiashan Village, Hangzhou

The parent-child tourism destination focusing on tea production, education and research is to bring our secondary and tertiary industries together.

First of all, we tried some tea cultural tourism last year. Through tea research, we have also done several such activities, and the results are actually good. Then we will focus on making tea cultural tourism this year.

[Explanation] Sun Bin is not only the secretary of the general party branch of Wengjiashan Village, he is also an out-and-out "second-generation tea". Every year when the farming is busy, he will also help the family to fry tea. This year is also the 13th year.

Sun Bin told reporters that now he neither resists this title, but is also delighted to find that more and more like-minded friends have joined the village. They are all as proud of their identities as the older generation of tea people and hope to do something for the village As a matter of fact, I hope that the Longjing tea brand will go further and longer.

In fact, it may have been disgusting from our educational background, in the early years.

Because in the past we were educated when we were young, our parents told us to go to school and go to university and then we had to sit in the office. (Tea farmers) had to work in the fields every day, which would be very hard.

In fact, I think the other way around now, I was born in this place not because of the benefits that cash crops brought me, but because I felt that I could guard the fields and tea trees at home, and be able to do things with the mentality of a craftsman. To do something, I think it is something that makes me very proud.

[Concurrent] Weng Bin, a local tea merchant

I can’t talk about responsibility. My original intention of making tea is very simple. First, I will handle the tea from my own tea garden, and then if I have the ability, I will charge more tea from my village. To receive tea from other villages, our idea is very simple: everyone is well and everyone is rich.
