A slimming session ends with the urgent death of an Egyptian girl

In a shocking incident that shook the Al-Ahram Gardens area, south of the Egyptian capital, Cairo, an Egyptian woman named Dalia, in her thirties, was killed after undergoing a weight loss session in a physiotherapy center in the region.

In the details, after investigations conducted by the security services, it became clear that the woman, the daughter of a doctor, was dreaming of a fit and perfect body, so she resorted to a physiotherapy center that provides slimming services through the cooling method.

But during one of these sessions, she developed convulsions and died on the spot.

Later, it turned out that the center is owned and managed by two doctors with a Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy, and it provides a cryotherapy service, through a device called “cryo,” that gets rid of the accumulated fat under the skin and breaks it down through very low temperatures.

It also freezes excess fat in some areas of the body, and tightens the skin without surgical intervention.

It is noteworthy that the Public Prosecution decided later to seize the center and conduct investigations in order to uncover the circumstances of the incident, and to inquire from the competent authorities in the Ministry of Health about the status of the center and whether it obtained the necessary licenses.

She also requested an autopsy on the woman's body, and a report on her condition to be prepared to show the cause of her death.
