Among the witnesses who will have to testify in the defamation lawsuit brought by Johnny Depp against his ex-wife Amber Heard next month, two names are likely to particularly mark the hearings: those of James Franco and Elon Musk.

The actor and the billionaire will indeed have to answer the questions of justice, according to Deadline.

The reason for their presence even in videoconference?

They were both accused by the

Edward Scissorhands

actor of having an affair with his ex-wife during their marriage.

They will therefore be in the camp of Amber Heard, even if we do not know what they will be able to say to defend the actress of

Aquaman

For his part, Johnny Depp has added actor Paul Bettany to the list of his witnesses.

The latter was implicated in the case because of a series of text messages sent by his colleague, in which Johnny Depp spoke in particular of "burning" and "drowning" Amber Heard, before having sex with his charred corpse… These messages had been revealed during the trial which opposed the actor of

Pirates of the Caribbean

to the tabloid

The Sun

, in the United Kingdom.

The publication had called the comedian a “woman hitter”, with justice concluding that this description was true.

After failing to have the defamation complaint of Johnny Depp (who accuses him of having presented himself as a survivor of domestic violence in an editorial) in 2020, Amber Heard decided to counter his complaint by attacking in turn in justice the actor, to the tune of 100 million dollars.

The trial is therefore due to start on April 11 in Fairfax County Court, Virginia.
