A Saudi lawyer published the details of a case brought by a man against his wife to annul the marriage contract between them because of her smoking.
Noting that the judge ordered the termination of the contract and the return of the dowry in full, amounting to 180,000 riyals.
Lawyer Ibrahim Al-Hussein said, in a video clip posted on his account on Twitter: "The details of the case are due to the husband's discovery that his wife was smoking before he owned it.
Pointing out that the wife confessed to him and this was proven during conversations between them.
He added that the wife admitted that she had already smoked, but then repented.
While the husband insisted on the annulment of the marriage contract, justifying that she could go back to smoking again, and that he did not want a woman "of this type".
Lawyer Al-Hussein pointed out that the case ended with the judge issuing a decision to annul the marriage contract and return the full dowry to the husband, whose value is 180,000 riyals.
