Yamaguchi Prefecture and Shimonoseki City announced on the 19th that 230 new people have been confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus.
This brings the total number of confirmed infections in Yamaguchi Prefecture to 26,454.
Shimonoseki City also announced that one woman over the age of 100 has died.
The number of people who died after being infected with the new coronavirus in the prefecture was 159.
