A Saudi expert reveals why the month of Sha'ban was called by that name!

Dr. Khaled Al-Zaqaq, head of the Al-Zaqqa observatory for astronomical and geophysical studies in Saudi Arabia, revealed the reason for naming the month of “Sha’ban” with this name in relation to the branching of tree branches and the branching of tribes in their quest for pasture and water.

Al-Zaqqaq said that "the month of Sha'ban is the shortest month of the year in feeling, and in it the fasting month of Ramadan is imposed, and it was called this because of the branching of the branches of the trees in it and the branching of the tribes seeking water resources at the time of naming."

This came in a statement in which Zaaq announced that “the month of Sha’ban has an astronomical duration of 29 days, which means that the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan will be on the second of next April, as it is waiting on the twenty-ninth of Sha’ban in order to determine the first days of the blessed month of Ramadan in all countries.” And we see that the month of Ramadan comes every year ahead of the previous year as a result of many cosmic phenomena.
