In the middle of the week, Evan Rachel Wood shared a petition on his Instagram account demanding that YouTube remove a video of his ex, Marilyn Manson.
The clip, for the title
Heart-Shaped Glasses
, shows the actress and her then-boyfriend in "action".
Except that she affirms in her new documentary that she was not at all consenting at the time of the shooting.
YouTube eventually responded to the star, saying in a statement, "We are monitoring the situation closely and will take appropriate action if we determine there is a violation of our Creator Liability Guidelines."
In other words, the fact that the actress claims that the clip represents an actual rape is not enough to make the platform react.
in denial
According to the terms of YouTube, the only way to remove the video would be for Marilyn Manson to confess that he did indeed rape Evan Rachel Wood in the video, as relayed by the NME, or else be condemned.
But the singer, accused by several other women, such as
Game of Thrones
actress Esmé Bianco, or his former assistant Ashley Walters, as well as model Ashley Morgan Smithline, of similar facts, defends himself firmly.
He claims that each time, the women he had sex with were consenting.
Anyway, the petition launched by activist Victoria Ambrose, collected nearly 8,000 signatures in less than two days.
The video, meanwhile, has been viewed more than 32 million times.
