[Explanation] The person in the picture who is treating the patient is called Su Shaowei. In 2017, 56-year-old Su Shaowei came to Nanning, Guangxi from Hong Kong to study, looking for his "traditional Chinese medicine dream" when he was young.

[Explanation] Recently, Su Shaowei said in an interview with reporters that when he went to university in Hong Kong, his major was property management.

He was able to form a bond with Chinese medicine because he was a patient with facial paralysis when he was young.

After a few times of acupuncture, the face returned to normal.

When I was young, maybe in my twenties, I had facial paralysis once. At that time, I went to the hospital emergency room and stayed in the hospital for three days. At that time, the doctor told me that there was no cure, and he said no The rule of law, then I feel very disappointed. (Then) my family took me to see acupuncture and moxibustion. In his room, the doctor specializes in treating facial paralysis. There are many photos. He pricked me 7 times and I was fine.

[Explanation] After this experience, the young Su Shaowei planted a seed of "learning Chinese medicine" in his heart.

With the increase of age, Su Shaowei had some physical problems after retirement. For the health of himself and his family, the idea of "learning Chinese medicine" took root, which prompted him to study in the mainland.

In 2016, in Hong Kong, our Guangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine had an exhibition in Hong Kong. Many colleges and universities had exhibitions, and our school was one of them. At that time, I read its admissions brochure in detail and the content of admissions. At that time, I went back and thought about it. I felt that because I retired in Hong Kong, I didn’t know what to do, so I felt that I should learn something, because I was getting older and my body started to have problems. The age of my family or friends I'm all grown up, so I want to learn some Chinese medicine. When I go back, I can help myself, my family, and my friends. That's what I thought, that's why I came here.

[Explanation] During the internship in the hospital, the courses of the Chinese medicine system and the internship experience in different departments gave Su Shaowei a deeper understanding of the views of Chinese medicine.

I think (Traditional Chinese Medicine) is more detailed than Western medicine in its (syndrome differentiation), and it also judges and differentiates the symptoms of the patient, and finally makes a decision on how to treat the disease. His level of attention, the level of this thing is relatively strong to train.

[Commentary] There are students of all ages in Su Shaowei's class.

He said that everyone came here with an interest in traditional Chinese medicine and shared many topics with each other. Although he was older, he got along very well with his classmates.

It seems that they go to eat, and I am also interested. Sometimes they go to karaoke and I go too, so I don't think there is a big difference in age.

[Explanation] Talking about the biggest change after coming to the mainland, Su Shaowei said that due to the convenience of electronic payment, he gradually developed the habit of not carrying cash when going out.

The convenient electronic payment method and perfect medical service system have changed Su Shaowei's stereotype of "poor and backward" in the mainland.

  Isn't there WeChat here?

Alipay, how can Hong Kong be so convenient? It is not so convenient for us to give money to friends. Really, when you go to (take) transportation, you can use this electronic currency. Hong Kong is not so convenient.

(Once) in Hong Kong right where I live, aren't there some shops down there, I forgot to bring money when I bought things, I just had a mobile phone, so I ran home again.

[Explanation] Now, Su Shaowei hopes to make Chinese medicine good and pass it on well. After returning to Hong Kong to get the qualification of a practicing doctor, he will help more people in need to restore their health through Chinese medicine.
