The Ritz-Carlton hotel group has ordered two luxury cruise ships
Called
Ilma
and
Luminara
, they will be delivered in 2024 and 2025.
Suites up to 100 m2, featuring “the highest quality standards” and “innovative features” in terms of design… It's a great order that the shipyards of Saint-Nazaire have won.
Thursday evening, the American group Ritz-Carlton, of hotels of the same name, announced the upcoming construction of two “super yachts” at Chantiers de l'Atlantique.
These luxury cruise ships, called
Ilma
and
Luminara
, will be delivered in 2024 and 2025, while an option for the construction of additional ships has already been posed.
If the shipyard is already specialized in high-end liners, the level should still go up a notch with these new constructions, of a much more measured size than the last giants of the seas delivered in recent years.
Private terraces are announced for each of the 228 suites, a look inspired by that of private yachts, but also a high level of service with "the highest staff service ratio per passenger in the luxury cruise category", i.e. approximately one for a.
On board will be five restaurants, six bars and a wine cellar.
LNG vessels
Very luxurious, these ships are also intended to be more ecological, each with “four hybrid engines” and the use of liquefied natural gas (LNG) as the main fuel.
"In addition, the yachts will have sophisticated water treatment systems, an efficient heat recovery loop, LED lighting...", specifies the press release.
The boats will offer ten-night itineraries in the Caribbean and the Mediterranean.
Reservations will open this fall.
Pricing has not been disclosed.
