On March 18, the last unit of the Yalong River Lianghekou Hydropower Station in Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan was officially put into commercial operation, marking the commissioning of all units of China's highest earth-rock dam hydropower station.
The dam of the power station is a gravel soil core rockfill dam with a height of 295 meters and an average altitude of 3,000 meters. It is the highest one million kilowatt hydropower station in China.
