Almost two years ago to the day, Emmanuel Macron announced the first confinement in France.

The Covid-19 is obviously no longer as much of a concern as at that time, in France as in the Rhône.

But after a month and a half of sharp fall, the figures transmitted by Public Health France indicate a slight resumption of the epidemic, for seven days around Lyon.

The incidence rate in the Rhône thus exceeds 400, with 437.8 positive cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

This rate was for the record of

4,655 at its peak on January 21.

The current trend therefore does not (yet) lead to fear of a sixth wave of Covid-19 cases, despite the end of the wearing of masks in many places and the suspension of the vaccination pass.

This slight epidemic recovery observed remains more contained in the Rhône than in departments such as Manche, Finistère, Ardennes, Moselle or Meuse, where the incidence rate exceeds 1,000.
