At present, the focus of epidemic prevention and control is three "reductions", reducing deaths, reducing severe cases and reducing infections.

There are four "concentrations", which mainly focus on our resources, experts, and hospital beds (to treat patients), and these (measures) to treat our patients.

In addition, there is a "priority", which is the priority of the elderly.

[Explanation] The fifth wave of the epidemic in Hong Kong continues to be severe.

A few days ago, the Director of the Food and Health Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, Chen Zhaoshi, said in an exclusive interview with China News Agency that the current focus of Hong Kong's epidemic prevention is three "reduction", four "concentration" and one "priority".

Chen Zhaoshi said that at present, Hong Kong should adopt a "stratified and diverted" treatment method.

In fact, it is necessary to do a stratified shunt treatment.

This we mainly have five layers.

Of course, the first two floors will be in the hospital, mainly for the more severe (patients), and the other floor is the third floor for some milder cases, but those who need treatment (patients) will be treated in our community treatment facilities.

On the fourth floor, there are some asymptomatic or mild symptoms that do not require so much treatment, but they are all people who need to be isolated. Generally speaking, they can take care of themselves and will go to some community isolation facilities.

Of course, the last layer means that this layer is home (people), mainly they will have a hotline. If they have medical questions, there will be a hotline to answer.

[Explanation] Chen Zhaoshi believes that in addition to reducing deaths and severe illness, reducing infection is also very important. Therefore, the successive opening of community isolation facilities aided by the central government has also played a very positive role in Hong Kong's anti-epidemic work.

The central government has worked hard in a very short period of time. Everyone has been supporting the construction of these facilities day and night, including Tsing Yi, San Tin, and Fanling. In the future, there will be at least two more facilities in the next day or two or this week. (Put into use).

This will have a very good effect on controlling our entire epidemic, reducing infection and effectively isolating (infecting) citizens.

(We) must make good use of it, we will have medical staff stationed there, and there will also be some simple treatment of traditional Chinese medicine.

[Explanation] Under the fifth wave of the epidemic, the number of confirmed cases and deaths are still hovering at a high level, and public hospital beds continue to be full.

Chen Zhaoshi said that at present, the SAR government has contacted 13 private hospitals and more than 5,000 private clinics in Hong Kong through various means, calling on them to actively participate in the treatment of new crown patients, and the response has been relatively positive.

[Concurrent] Director of the Food and Health Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, Chen Zhaoshi

Now we are working with all private hospitals. I have written to them earlier, asking them to provide some beds to treat non-COVID-19 patients. Later, the Chief Executive also met with them and hoped that they could help with other things such as remote From medical care, or to help manage some of our community isolation facilities for the elderly, that is, some respite centers, and if they can, admit some new crown patients, or treat some new crown patients in their clinics.

So these four items, they have always responded positively.

[Explanation] When asked about the current epidemic situation in Hong Kong, Chen Zhaoshi pointed out that the epidemic situation in Hong Kong is still running at a high level, and there are still many transmission chains in the community.

She appealed to the public not to let down their vigilance, lest the epidemic rebound.

[Concurrent] Director of the Food and Health Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, Chen Zhaoshi

The current trend of the epidemic is actually a high level.

In fact, they are all at a high level, but there has been a slight decline from the highest level to the present, but we cannot completely relax.

We even have to appeal to the public not to relax.

Because even in our current situation, there are still many transmission chains in the community.

So if everyone relaxes, there is actually a chance to rebound at any time.
