60 years ago, on March 18, 1962, France and the provisional Algerian government signed the Évian Accords, which ended the Algerian war and opened the way to independence.

At the Institut du monde arabe, in Paris, the exhibition “His eye in my hand” looks back on this moment in history, with the photos of the legendary French photographer Raymond Depardon and the words of the unclassifiable Algerian writer Kamel Daoud.
