A police officer of the Kanagawa Prefectural Police was sent a document for deceiving 160,000 yen in cash from a woman in her 70s who had been inquiring about the situation for being involved in the theft case.

She had the victim of the theft pay "in the name of reimbursement" and kept it as her own.

The document was sent to a 31-year-old male police chief who works in the criminal section of the Ofuna police station.

According to police, the chief police officer was suspected of fraud in June last year, saying that he had deceived 160,000 yen in cash from a woman in her 70s who had voluntarily heard about the situation as being involved in the theft case in the name of paying the victim. Has been held.

During the interview, the woman offered to prepare a repayment, and the chief police officer visited the woman's home and received 100,000 yen in cash, but said "this is not enough" and paid another 60,000 yen. It means that you paid.

The cash I received was not given to the victims of the incident, but was my own.

The police sent documents on the 18th and dismissed him from disciplinary action because he stated to the investigation that he wanted money to spend on gambling.

The woman who was deceived by 160,000 yen was subsequently sent documents on suspicion of theft.

In addition, the Kanagawa Prefectural Police sent documents to a male police officer at Kawasaki Police Station for touching a woman's body on the train, and two male police officers at Yamato Police Station and Asahi Police Station for voyeurizing the inside of a woman's skirt. I made it clear.

It means that all three have retired on request.

Kozo Kamada, Inspector General of the Kanagawa Prefectural Police Headquarters, commented, "We deeply apologize to the citizens of the prefecture.
