Around the hypocenter park in Nagasaki City, Ukrainian children are exhibiting pictures drawn with peace in the hope that Russia will immediately stop the military invasion of Ukraine.

The painting on display is on the same large canvas as Picasso's indiscriminate bombing "Guernica". Five years ago, children in Lugansk, eastern Ukraine, where conflicts with Russia had been frequent since then, put peace into it. I drew it.

The painting depicts a large rainbow and colorful animals, and shows how peace comes by casting a rainbow over the black world.

At the venue, a book produced by the calligraphy club of Nagasaki Nishi High School was also exhibited, and it was written in various languages as "world peace."

Akiko Yamashita, who planned this project, said, "I thought about what the Ukrainian children who once drew pictures are feeling in the war, and wanted to send a message from Nagasaki. I want you to see the pictures and feel the events of Ukraine closer to you. "

The exhibition of Ukrainian children's paintings at the hypocenter park is until the 26th of this month.
