Arnold Schwarzenegger's letter to Putin and Russian soldiers (video)

Power and action movie star Arnold Schwarzenegger sent a moving message to Russian President Vladimir Putin, via video, asking him to stop the war.

In a nine-minute video posted Thursday on social media, Arnold spoke of his appreciation for the people of Russia, according to USA Today.

“I have always been inspired by the strength and heart of the Russian people,” he said in his letter. “That is why I hope you will allow me to tell you the truth about the war in Ukraine and what is happening there.

Nobody likes hearing something critical of their government, and I understand that.

But as an old friend of the Russian people, I hope you will hear what I have to say.”

Addressing the Russian military and President Vladimir Putin, the Hollywood stalwart added: “For the soldiers who listen to me, remember that 11 million Russians have family ties to Ukraine - so with every bullet you shoot, you shoot a brother or a sister... And to President Putin I say: This war has begun."

You are the one leading this war.

You can stop this war.”

According to "Sky News".

Schwarzenegger, 74, attacked the Russian government's claim that the purpose of its war was to "get Nazism out of Ukraine", and shared photos and videos of bombed buildings, refugees in crowded rooms and families saying emotional goodbyes before separation.

"To all the Russians who were protesting in the streets against the war on Ukraine...the world has seen your courage," Schwarzenegger concluded.

I love the Russian people.

That is why I have to tell you the truth.

Please watch and share.
