The decline is strong and encouraging.

In February, 212 people were killed on the roads of mainland France.

This is 17% less than in February 2019, before the health crisis, Road Safety announced on Tuesday.

Compared to February 2021, when a 6 p.m. curfew was introduced, the figure has however increased by 20% (36 more killed).

Displacements in February 2022 were higher than in February 2021 – given that “no measures restricting the mobility of French people” were in place.
