Three homeless people play together and win the Loto, but how do you get the money when you have no papers, no address, no bank account.
"Three times nothing" embroiders around Philippe Rebbot, Antoine Bertrand and Côme Lanvin for a little gem of tender comedy.
They played the Lotto and they won.
Philippe Rebbot (
L'amour flou
), Antoine Bertrand and Côme Lanvin play a trio of homeless people for
Trois fois rien
by Nadège Loiseau.
But it's not easy to get a (very large) check when you have no papers, no address, no bank account!
"I find it important that comedy takes on tough subjects, related to our daily lives, and that it makes people laugh despite the seriousness of the situations evoked" declares Nadège Loiseau in the press kit.
The director of the
Little tenant
reconnects with his accomplice actors for an original social comedy.
Karin Viard, heroine of her previous film, also makes a surprise appearance in this invigorating film.
A perfect alchemy
Even the dog, deliciously baptized "Asshole", is in unison with the general delirium when the accomplices are forced to cohabit before being able to recover their money.
They thus discover that a tidier life is not always easy.
Pure fantasy sometimes takes on a more serious tone because Nadège Loiseau digs deep into her characters, revealing their past and their aspirations.
There is cinema in
Trois fois rien
which evolves in weightlessness to find the perfect alchemy between actors who never fall into caricature.
The director has breathed in the air of the times, which she restores by perfuming it with a benevolence free from sentimentality.
Managing to show both the harshness of the world and the gentleness it can generate was a challenge that this touching work brilliantly takes up.
Sometimes three times nothing
is enough
to make the viewer happy.
