Stromae probably didn't need bad buzz when his new album was released.

While

Multitude

has been available since March 4, the Belgian artist recently unveiled the music video for his new single,

Fils de Joie

.

A title that seems to be unanimous with critics, both in terms of music and images of the video.

But behind the scenes, things obviously didn't go so well.

RTBF cites the testimony of a dancer, recruited for the clip by the production company Abyssal, and who left the shoot after two days.

The young woman, whose name is not mentioned by the Belgian media, had already complained on Facebook.

Speaking to the artist, she claimed that the “cultural workers” had been paid “€150 for 5 days of work (rehearsals, fitting and outdoor filming)”.

She also denounced a "lack of professionalism on the part of the organization" and "contempt", as well as the planned meals: "waffles as catering".

extremely difficult

Asked by the channel, the dancer clarified her point, citing serious organizational problems.

“We knew the shooting days, but not the rehearsal days.

So for someone who works – there were teachers, there was a bit of everything – it was very uncertain how to organize for this week, "am I going to have to cancel classes", etc

At the start, it was a paid project and when we learned that it was 150 euros for the five days, we were already somewhat committed to the project, ”she explains.

RTBF also relays the testimony of an extra, who reveals having waited several days in the cold, for a payment of 60 euros per day.

“It implies a very high availability since we had to be there from 6 a.m. and overall, the day ended around 5 p.m.

And that two days in a row.

The problem is when you realize what it takes in terms of time, availability, energy, and there, in this case, physical condition, since filming took place in the month of January and it was about 1°C but felt minus 2, knowing that we weren't moving.

It means that we stay on stage while the cameras pass, as an audience we were static.

It was extremely difficult,” she said.

Neither the production company Abyssal nor Stromae spoke about the controversy.
