Why this book?
Because for Sébastien, it's time, at 50,
to finally give meaning to his notebook of grudges.
A red notebook in which he notes the names and descriptions of those who made him suffer at some point in his life.
Friendly disappointment, humiliation of youth, sentimental or professional betrayals, hassles between neighbors, anything goes.
If for the most part, simple sweet revenge is planned, he saves the best for the end: Yannick L. will pay and Sébastien plans to do it in the most beautiful way: by death, but before that, he counts a can't play with him.
Because it is impossible not to be captivated from the first words
of this novel.
Sébastien first appears to us as an everyday lamba character.
A man disappointed by life, divorced, who sees little of his kids, with a professional success not foliochonne.
At first I found the idea of his notebook of grudges really original, with an almost jubilant first revenge.
I staggered with anticipation as I witnessed his first retaliatory scheme.
Then slowly, we realize that something is wrong, especially when he is joined by Dominique, his companion.
Because while reading this novel, I logically thought
of those who would deserve a place in my grudge book, if I wanted to open one.
I would almost dare to admit that for some, in the company of Sébastien and Dominique, I almost worked out my little personal revenge.
The thoughts that the reading of this novel leads to in spite of ourselves could surprise and frighten you.
But why look back on the past and its grudges?
Our life is not a novel, fortunately, so let's look to the future with all our benevolence.
