Netflix will promote the presence of Catalan, Galician and Basque in its catalog in 2022, with the subtitling of a selection of international series and films, and the dubbing of several children's and family titles.
As sources from the on-demand audiovisual content platform have advanced to Europa Press, the titles will be published gradually as they become available on the service, so that this year's selection will be in the catalog in its entirety at the end of 2022.
Thus, in the coming months and until the end of the year, a selection that includes nearly 70 titles in Galician, Catalan and Basque
will be added to the platform
.
Netflix will include new titles every year.
The aforementioned sources of the American company have detailed that the audiovisual work that will be added throughout 2022 represents some 600 hours of subtitled international films and series, and some 60 hours of content for children and family audiences dubbed in the three languages ( a total of about 200 hours of subtitles and about 20 hours of dubbing in each language).
In this way, Netflix subscribers in 190 countries will be able to access series and movies in Catalan, Galician and Basque such as
Emily in Paris
or upcoming releases, such as
The Mother
,
Garra
,
Sandman
and
Pinocchio
, by Guillermo del Toro.
"We continue to strive to bring the best stories to the whole world. This is one more step we are taking to promote the presence of Catalan, Galician and Basque on our service. We will increase the number of international series and films subtitled in these languages, in addition to the dubbing of several children's and family titles, so that our subscribers can enjoy them in 190 countries. This selection will be available throughout 2022 and
will continue to grow for the next few years
, "explained a Netflix spokesperson.
