The year 2022 marks the 45th anniversary of the Luberon Regional Natural Park.

Several projects will be implemented this year, but those in charge have also begun important substantive work.

The site charter for the period 2024-2039 must in particular be renewed, reports Alpes1.

The park now covers 185,000 hectares between the departments of Alpes de Haute-Provence and Vaucluse.

It will soon expand and cover 100 municipalities in the Montagne de Lure, compared to 77 previously.

The charter will be presented to the partners, before being approved by the municipalities and formalized by decree.

Corner of greenery for the rain

Among the future actions is Corner of greenery for the rain, a project to de-waterproof and revegetate schoolyards.

A guide to local producers is also to be published, as part of the Territorial Food Project (PAT).

The themes of the wolf and pastoralism must also be addressed, in particular via awareness-raising tools intended for the general public.
