First, attract consumers through "high offer", and then find various reasons to lower the price

  370,000 yuan becomes 323,000 yuan!

Consumers selling second-hand cars have been undercut by the platform 3 times

This newspaper, Beijing, March 14 (Reporter Yang Zhaokui) "I compared both online and offline, and finally felt that a used car platform gave the highest price, 370,000 yuan, and decided to sell it on this platform. But I didn't expect it. Yes, this platform uses 'high offers' to attract people, and then finds various reasons to lower the price, and finally lowered the price three times and lowered the price to 323,000 yuan." A few days ago, Ms. Li, a consumer in Beijing, told "Workers" A reporter from the Daily said, "I thought I could sell it at a good price, but I didn't expect the routine to be so deep."

Ms. Li said that on February 17, she contacted the appraiser of the platform to inspect the car.

After inspection, her car was in good condition, and the appraiser quoted 370,000 yuan to collect the car.

"I thought the price was higher than those offered by other places, so I accepted it. My car is under the 'National VI A' emission standard and cannot be licensed in Beijing. These appraisers have already said it when they come to test." Ms. Li Said, "But on February 23, when I drove the car to the platform's offline store, the platform staff said that because my car could not get a Beijing license, it was not easy to sell, so I could only collect the car for 350,000 yuan. Just drove away. Although I was a little dissatisfied at the time, I didn’t want to bother, so I decided to sell it.”

Since then, Ms. Li signed a contract with the platform, stipulating that the platform will pay her a deposit of 10,000 yuan first, and the platform will pay the balance immediately after the car is repaid and the mortgage is released.

However, on February 28, when Ms. Li drove the car to the offline store of the platform for re-inspection, the platform staff told her that through the big data query, her car had a maintenance record in the 4S store, so the price should be reduced by 30,000 yuan, that is 320,000 yuan, and the contract price needs to be revised.

After negotiation, the final price was set at 333,000 yuan.

The platform staff promised that this price is the final price after the vehicle re-inspection and will not change.

The two sides have redrawn the supplementary agreement.

However, on March 9, after Ms. Li released the car and went to the platform's offline store to handle the final payment, the platform staff proposed to modify the price.

The reason given by the staff is still that the car is of the "National VI A" standard and cannot be licensed in Beijing, and two options are given, either drive the car away or sell it at a price of 318,000 yuan.

"I proposed that it must be executed according to the contract price, and changing the price is a breach of contract. However, the platform said that the contract is in the execution stage before the final payment has been paid, and the price can be changed, which is not a breach of contract." Ms. Li said that in the end, she and the platform After repeated negotiation, it was decided to settle the transaction at a price of 323,000 yuan. "I really don't want to bother anymore. I feel tired selling a car."

There are still many chaos in the used car platform.

According to the "Investigation Report on Second-hand Car Transactions and Consumption" released by the Beijing Consumers Association today, some second-hand car platforms have problems such as false propaganda, concealment of real car conditions, and leakage of personal information, and some platforms have illegal content such as "marriage transfer".

In this regard, the Beijing Consumers Association suggested that for the illegal behavior of some merchants, the relevant departments should severely punish and expose their violations once verified, guide used car platforms and dealers to operate in a standardized manner, and improve the integrity of used car merchants. and service awareness.
