In 2020, something rare enough to be reported, the American channel NBC renewed its medical series
New Amsterdam
for three additional seasons at once.
That's a total of five seasons.
But not one more.
Indeed, as reported by the
Deadline
site , the series, currently in full broadcast of its season 4 in the United States, will end at the end of season 5, a shorter season, of only 13 episodes.
"Max Goodwin's story and his endless commitment to New Amsterdam patients has been inspiring," said Lisa Katz, president of scripted content at NBC.
We are so grateful to David Schulner, Peter Horton, and our cast and crew for their incredible dedication, talent, and collaboration.
New Amsterdam
is
broadcast in France on TF1.
