Recently, villagers in Menkamai Village, Menbu Township, Nyalam County, Shigatse City, Tibet Autonomous Region performed "Jia Harmony" to celebrate the Tibetan New Year.
"Jiaxie" means a grand song and dance performance. Jiaxie's costumes are made of high-grade silk and satin, mainly red and yellow, and the actors keep swinging their hats when performing.
Jiaxie is usually performed every year during the Tibetan New Year and major festivals. The movements are rough and bold, and some performances can be performed continuously for a whole day.
